Short questions, straight answers
Weorclip is still in beta — it is being actively developed. You may run into bugs; every problem you report goes into the next release.
Is Weorclip free?
Yes. It is free to download and free to use, and you do not need an account.
Are my videos uploaded to a cloud?
No. Downloading, editing and exporting all run on your own computer. Your footage is never uploaded to any server; when the edit is done, the file is on your disk.
Which sites can I download from?
More than 1500 video and audio platforms, YouTube included. Paste a link and Weorclip recognises the source; you pick the format and the quality.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Setup takes about two minutes; the installer fetches the tools it needs on its own.
Do the AI features need anything?
Automatic subtitles and most of the cutting tools work out of the box. A few generative features ask for a provider key, added once in Settings.
Can I use what I download however I like?
Copyright in what you download stays with its owner. Using that content only in ways you are entitled to is your responsibility; Weorclip is a tool — it grants no rights and transfers none.
What does beta mean here?
The program works and is used every day, but it is still being built: a feature may not behave the way you expect. Your data is not at risk — everything stays on your own disk. Report what you run into on Discord or by e-mail and it goes into the next release.
How do updates arrive?
The app updates itself. When a new version is out, a card appears on screen; one click downloads and applies it. Only the changed files come down, and every update is verified by signature. You can turn it off in Preferences.
Where are downloaded files saved?
By default into Windows’ Videos folder, in a subfolder called Weorclip Output. You can pick another folder in Settings and set the file-name template yourself.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Editing, subtitles, censoring and exporting all work offline — they run on your own computer. The internet is only needed to download a video, to fetch the model files the first time, and to check for updates.
What should I do if a download fails?
On a temporary error the program retries by itself. If the error is permanent, the reason is written on screen. The most common cause is a video that is region-locked or members-only. If it keeps happening, export the diagnostic file from Help and send it on Discord.
